‘My name is Prossy and I am 36 years old and have 4 children. My husband died from HIV/AIDS in 2010 and in 2012 I was tested positive and started taking ARV’s. I had another partner and when I was 6 months pregnant he started mistreating me and would not provide us with any basic needs for the family. Later I delivered twins who are now 17 months old and I am happy they are HIV negative. I have a small restaurant which I operate and earns some money to support the family. I am very grateful to Kawempe Home Care for the social support it has provided us, such as food and clothes, and also medical treatment and adherence counselling.’
